Wherever We Are, The Satguru Is Always With Us
The paathi sings the Bani of Sant Kabir Sahib from the book: Sant Kabir Sahib, pg 209

Guru ko keeje dandavat,
Koti koti parnaam;
Guru ko keeje dandavat,
Koti koti parnaam;
Keet na jaanai bringh ko,
Vah kar le aap samaan.

THIS IS THE BANI of Param Sant Satguru Kabir Sahib. In this Bani, Kabir Sahib has talked about the greatness of the Guru. He says, “Bow to the feet, millions and millions of times, at the Feet of the Guru.” We bow to the Feet of the Masters because, He gives an example, that it is like the black m ason wasp, which catches caterpillars, small caterpillars, and it brings it and it makes small holes. And it keeps each of the caterpillars in those holes. And, every morning, it comes and gives its sound to all of those caterpillars to listen. So, it puts these caterpillars in those holes and seals those holes. And, every morning, it comes and makes its sound. And all those caterpillars, who pay attention to the sound of this mason bee, slowly, they completely transform, and they become like the mason bee. So, they transform and take the shape, form, and virtues of the mason bee.

Likewise, the Masters, They have mercy on the soul. And this soul, which has the burden of all its sins, and it is very impure, the Masters take this soul and They connect this soul with the Sound Current, and that brings about a transformation in the soul. And They make the soul like Themselves.

Kabir Sahib says, “There is a difference between the stone, which converts iron into gold, and the Masters. Because the stone converts the iron into gold, but the Masters convert the soul into Themselves.” Because the Masters then uplift the soul and take the soul to the Sach Khand-Sat Lok and get the soul to have the Darshan of Sat Purush, and then, They make the soul like Themselves. And, with the Darshan of the Sat Purush, the soul gets the luminance of sixteen suns, like the Master.

So, that is why Kabir Sahib says, “The Masters make the soul like themselves.” Therefore, Kabir Sahib says, “However many times you go to the Feet of the Master and thank Him, it is going to be less than enough.”

Jagat janaayo jehi sakal,
So guru pragate aay;
Jagat janaayo jehi sakal,
So guru pragate aay;
Jin guru ankh na dekhiyaa,
So guru diyaa lakhaay.

Kabir Sahib says, “The power that has made all of this world is Shabd. That is the Sound Current.” God Almighty manifested the Shabd out of Himself, and then, instructed the Shabd, or the Sound Current, to go and create all of these planes and universes below. So, God Almighty has created the Sound Current, which has created all of this universe and all of these planes, and through the same Sound Current, God Almighty has come in the Form of the Master, because the element of Guru, or Master, is Shabd. And Shabd is the One and All of all of Creation. Sound Current is God Almighty and, therefore, Guru is Shabd. And listening to the instructions of the Guru is like listening to the instructions of God Almighty.

Satguru sam ko hai sagaa,
Saadhu sam ko data;
Satguru sam ko hai sagaa,
Saadhu sam ko data;
Hari samaan ko hitoo hai,
Harijan sam ko jaath.

Kabir Sahib says, “The Master is different from the near and dear ones that we have because, when we travel, for instance, we leave our families behind. They are all in their houses, and they are all in the place that we have left behind. We have all come here.”

And, unlike that, Satguru is always at the back of the Eye Center, in the form of Shabd at all times. So, wherever we are, Satguru is always with us. If we have one True Friend Who never leaves us for a second and He’s always with us, He is our Satguru.

So, during our lifetime, the Master is always with us, and He is always helping us. And even after our death, He gives His Darshan, and then, He takes us in the planes above, and He takes us towards our Path to God Almighty.

The people whom we have as our family, at the time of death, they are all going to bid us farewell. It is only the Master Who is going to be with us after death also. So why shouldn’t we love the person, the Guru Who is, day and night, thinking about us and loving us?

But we spend all our time in the love and affection of people who are bound to us because of the karmas, and who are bound to our physical body because of karmas. They are not associated with us at the level of our soul.

So, the soul is connected with the Master and the soul is connected with God Almighty. We have no relation like we have with the Master. And there is no one who can grace us like the Master graces us. When we please the Master, then we have pleased the God Almighty. The soul is the daughter of God Almighty. And there is no one who is as good a well-wisher of the soul, to take the soul back, and get the soul to meet its Father.

Kabir Sahib says, “There is no class or caste, which is better, or higher, than harijan.” When He refers to harijan, He is talking about devotees of God Almighty.

So, the ‘harijans’ that we are aware of are a word coined by Mahatma Gandhi, when he referred to ‘harijans’ as the lowest caste in India. So, it is not referring to that ‘harijan’. It is referring to harijan as a devotee of God Almighty. So, those who are connected, day and night, at all times, with God Almighty, in the devotion of God Almighty, there is no class of people better than this.

We see Kabir Sahib was also of a lower caste. He was a weaver. And, likewise, even Ravidas was of a lower caste. He was a cobbler. But They were all connected with God Almighty and the mighty kings and emperors would come and bow at Their feet.

So, therefore, Kabir Sahib says, “There is no other caste, which is as high as a harijan.”

Satguru ki mahima ananth,
Ananth kiya upkaar;
Satguru ki mahima ananth,
Ananth kiya upkaar;
Lochat ananth ughaariyaa,
Ananth dikhaavanhaar.

Kabir Sahib says, “The Grace of the Master is limitless. It is boundless.” So Guru, His Grace on the soul, is limitless. It is not one person that He graces, it is several millions of lives when He initiates a soul. It is several millions of human lives that this soul would have lived in earlier incarnations, who has built the karmas like mountains. So, the Master graces that soul and takes care of all of those earlier deeds that the soul has done in all of the earlier human forms. So, to clear that huge burden of karmas, which has been built up over so many millions of lives, in one life to clear all of those karmas of this individual, and to get salvation to this individual, it is limitless great Grace that the Master showers on that individual.

At the time of initiation, the bigger karmas that the individual has to redeem, for which that soul would have to go to hell because only in hell it would be able to redeem those deeds, those kinds of deeds are assumed by the Masters, and they are taken over by the Masters. After initiation, the Masters go and wash these big sins, big deeds, in the Pool of Nectar in Par Brahm.

All our karmas, all our deeds, are counted by the Lord of Judgment, and he adds the collection of all our deeds. So, at the time of initiation, the Masters take over that entire account of deeds and take control and charge of all of those deeds of this individual. So, from that point onwards, it is the Masters Who have taken over all of the accountability of that individual. Thereafter, that individual doesn't have to go to the Lord of Judgment. He has nothing to do with any of the gods and goddesses, or anyone outside. It is only to the Master that everything is accountable to.

So, at the time of death also, it is because of this that there is nothing further that the Lord of Judgment has to do about this individual. So, at the time of death, neither the angels of death nor the Lord of Judgment, come to take the soul. It is the Master Himself Who comes and takes the soul. So, in this very short lifespan, the Masters give Their boundless Grace, and They redeem all of this huge pileup of deeds that the individual has built up. And this They do through giving Parshad, through giving Darshan, or making that individual do Simran Bhajan, or through Satsangs. All of these are different measures that They adopt to reduce the burden of that individual.

Thereafter, at the time of death, They do not bring that individual back into this world and give another body, or birth. They take that individual and keep them at higher planes.

So, therefore, Kabir Sahib says, “It is limitless Grace that the Masters shower on that individual.” And, with the Grace of the Masters, that individual is able to open the Third Eye. And, with that Third Eye, the individual is able to see God Almighty working everywhere. And he can see the Reality and the Truth of the way this whole Creation is working.

Jehi khojat brahmaa take,
Sur nar muni aru dev;
Jehi khojat brahmaa take,
Sur nar muni aru dev;
Kahe kabir sun saadhvaa,
Kar satguru ki sev.

Kabir Sahib says, “The Lord Brahma is sitting in meditation and devotion, seeking the glimpse of God Almighty. It is that same power, which is right in front of you, which is giving you Darshan and Who has given you initiation and is right amidst you.”

So, all the three, Brahma, Vishnu, Mahesh, who are responsible for this creation here, they are also wanting to get a glimpse of that God Almighty and get a glimpse of that Sound Current, which is manifested in the Form of the Guru here, and Who has given initiation, Who is getting the souls connected to the Sound Current, and taking them back to God Almighty.

Kabir guru guruaa milaa,
Ral gaya aate lon;
Kabir guru guruaa milaa,
Ral gaya aate lon;
Jaati paati kul mit gayaa,
Naam dharegaa koun.

Kabir Sahib says, “Those individuals to whom the God Almighty graces and the Masters initiate, and who follow the instructions of the Master and they go within, they are similar to the flour where the bread is prepared. Salt is added to that flour. And when that is mixed up and bread is prepared, or rotis are prepared from that, you can only taste that salt, you cannot see that salt.”

Similarly, the soul gets merged into God Almighty, and that is the specialty of the Masters, that is what the Masters enable to get done.

Guru is Sound Current, God Almighty is Sound Current, and the soul is also Sound Current. So, the Master takes the soul and, after it crosses Par Brahm, it climbs on the Sound Current, and goes back to God Almighty.

Gyaan prakaasi guru milaa,
So jan bisari na jaay;
Gyaan prakaasi guru milaa,
So jan bisari na jaay;
Jab saahib kirpaa karee,
Tab guru milayaa aay.

Kabir Sahib says, “If we close our eyes, we see only darkness within.” So, it is the Master Who has created the Light within, Who has created the illumination within. Once we have gone within and we have manifested and seen ourselves within then when we close our eyes, we see Light within, and when we open our eyes also, we see light outside. And then, we are able to discern, we see very clearly what is our relationship with our family, and we can see scores of our earlier lives and all of our deeds. And we, automatically, get more love and devotion at the Feet of the Master. And we reduce our love and affection for this outward world.

So, the True Love for the Master manifests Itself, and we cross all our other doors and go back, go to the Tenth Door, and we manifest the Form of the Master within. When we see Him in reality within, then we truly start loving Him, and our devotion becomes true inside.

Kabir Sahib says, “With the good deeds of millions of our lives, we get the human form. And, with the Grace of God Almighty, we get to meet the Masters in this human form.” Because, only those souls whom God Almighty wants to meet with, He directs those souls to the Masters.

Guru sahib kar jaaniye,
Rahiye sabadh samaay;
Guru sahib kar jaaniye,
Rahiye sabadh samaay;
Mile tho dhandavath bandagi,
Pal pal dhyan lagaay.

Kabir Sahib says, “If we develop good faith in the Master, and we follow the instructions of the Master, and we love the Master and do our devotion of the Master, and we do our practice of Simran and Bhajan, then we, definitely, get the Grace of the Master.”

Kabir Sahib says, “When you meet the Master in physical form, then bow to the Master and do your seva, do your devotion. And when you're away from the Master, you contemplate the Form of the Master within.” He says, “Even if you are hundreds and thousands of miles away and you remember your Master, then the Master is not far away. He is always with you.”

So, that way, we should do our love and devotion of the Master. We should always be in touch with Him and contemplate the Form of the Master at all times. And, by doing Simran and Bhajan every day, we please our Master and we get the Grace of the Master.

Guru ko sir par rakhiye,
Chaliye aghnya mahi;
Guru ko sir par rakhiye,
Chaliye aghnya mahi;
Kahe kabeer tha daas ko,
Teen lok dar naahi.

Kabir Sahib says, “You always keep the Master in your mind. You always contemplate on the Form of the Master and stay in touch with Him at all times. And you follow the instructions given by the Master. When the Master does Satsang, and He talks in the Satsang, follow those instructions, and do your Bhajan Simran and stay in touch with the Master.”

Ajaib Singh Ji Maharaj, when he retired from the military, he spent his retirement money and bought some acres of land, around thirty acres of land, at a place called Khunichuk in Rajasthan. He built a house there and he had about ten or twelve cows there also. Sant Ji used to do farming there, and this was after the earlier visits of Kirpal Singh Ji Maharaj.

Once, it was afternoon, and Sant Ji was sitting below a tree, resting for a bit. And he had taken off his turban also. He was sitting on that small stool below the tree. When Kirpal Singh Ji Maharaj came in the car, and Sant Ji bowed down to Him to take His blessings, Kirpal Singh Ji Maharaj then told him, “You should leave this ashram. You should leave all of this and go to 16 P.S.”

So, he bowed down, and Kirpal Singh Ji Maharaj told him to go to 16 P.S. and do his Dhyan Bhajan there at 16 P.S. So, after that, when Sant Ji went to pick up his turban, Kirpal Singh Ji Maharaj asked him, “Why are you picking that?” Then, he went to take his chappals. So, He said, “Why do you want that also?” So then, Sant Ji left all as it was, for 16 P.S.

Thereafter, he went to 77 R.B. on the way, and then, 16 P.S. a little after that. The purpose of telling you this is, that on one word of Kirpal Singh Ji Maharaj, Sant Ji left all of his belongings and walked away. He left behind everything on the word of Kirpal Singh Ji Maharaj, and then, he meditated underground in someone else's land in 16 P.S. And if we look back and see, then he had everything, subsequently. So, Kirpal Singh Ji Maharaj made sure that he got everything, all that he wanted, subsequently.

So, we should follow the instructions of the Master, and whatever instruction we follow, the Master also showers His Grace. And He also makes sure that you also are happy. We should become devoted and surrender to the Master, and then, the Master also surrenders to us.

In 1985, when I met Sant Ji, I had been in Andhra for about fourteen years, and I had got quite dejected here. I got quite disappointed. And there was no Master here. I'd also written a letter to my parents that I was going to come back, and I would start working with them in the village. And, with that in mind, I'd gone and met Sant Ji in 1985.

So, when I went to take Darshan of Sant Ji, there was a long queue of about thirty, forty people behind me. When I went in for the Darshan, Sant Ji asked Damu Ji to close the door. And then, He started talking to me. And He started talking to me, and reading my mind, and talking to me. So, He read my mind, and He told me, “Ram Singh, you should not go, you forget about going back to Varanasi. You should go back to Andhra. And you take this as the instructions of your Master Somanath Baba Ji because He has told me to instruct you this way.”

So, He was explaining to me, and I was crying there because I was really dejected and I did not want to continue to stay in Andhra Pradesh. I wanted to go back. And He kept talking to me, and I kept weeping there. So, He explained to me, and He told me, “It is all the Master Who is doing all of this. So, you listen and you do as I'm saying.” And I kept weeping there, and He kept explaining, and this went on for almost forty-five minutes. And then, finally, He blessed me. He put both hands on my shoulders and He blessed me with both hands. And He told me, “Do this, go back.”

So then, I prayed to Him. When the Masters say something like this, I was also scared that, if I don't follow the instruction of the Master, I don't know in what context the Master is saying this, and what good or bad is there in that. And I was really scared not to follow the instructions of the Master. So, I accepted what He said.

On the last day of the program, again, He explained to me for almost about half an hour, and He told me to go back to Andhra, and He has helped me in so many ways. He helped me, not only instructed me, but He helped me in all possible ways.

So, after the bhandara, Sant Ji used to be in His room and it was at the top above the hall. And then, He would call me after bhandara. And then, there was seva given, and that was all kept in about two or three buckets. So, He would empty those buckets, and then, He would say, “Okay, now, put these in order, put these notes in order, and make stacks of these notes.” So, He would call me, and then He would collect all of that money, and then give it to me. And this happened in several programs. This was in that room above Bhurabhai Hall if you know it in the Bombay program. So, He would call me after the bhandara and do this. And then, He would take this and He would tell me, “Okay, this will help you. You take this money and don't tell Pappu. Don't tell anybody. You take this and go.”

So, it is that same money with which I started that ashram, and then, slowly, with that same money, built one room, two rooms, and then so on so forth. And that ashram has grown. Now, over forty people stay there and eat there.* I also stay there and eat there. So, that has been the Grace of the Master. He used to often remind me that I had to go there and do Satsang. And He would tell me that, “You’ll have to go for long distances and do Satsang.”

So, all that I am telling you is all the Grace of Som-Ajaib. No one can equal the Grace of the Masters, and the Masters have graced me spiritually, and also on a monetary level, and on a worldly level. So, I acceded to His small request of going back to Andhra Pradesh. And I went back and stayed in that jungle, and He has done so much for me.

So, the Grace that the Masters bestow on a soul, one cannot possibly describe that.

Guru ko sir par rakhiye,
Chaliye aghnya mahi;
Guru ko sir par rakhiye,
Chaliye aghnya mahi;
Kahe kabeer tha daas ko,
Teen lok dar naahi.

Radhaswami.
